A year earlier their number amounted to 370 units (a decrease by 9 units during the year, in 2021 — by 37 units). There were 3 revocations of licenses (in 2021 — 26), the number of voluntary revocation of licenses came to 9 (in 2021 — 11). There were 225 banks with universal license as of the end of the year (232 banks as of the beginning of the year) and 101 banks with the basic license (103 banks as of the beginning of the year). The number of non-bank credit institutions was 35, the same as in the previous year.
