Title:  RUSSIA’S BANKING SECTOR IN AUGUST 2014
Abstract:  Banks’ assets contracted in August due to the shrinking of basically all key types of bank assets. It is only retail accounts and deposits that showed minor positive dynamics, although the downtrend in growth rates was still in place. This also pushed down the growth in the credit portfolio. The quality of corporate loans remained stable, whereas the quality of retail loans kept deteriorating.
