On the whole over the 5-year period under consideration, the number of properties received by the Russian Federation was more than 5 times higher than the number of properties disposed of over the same period of time, while the disposal index of economic societies with state stakes was only approximately 1.6 times higher than the corresponding receipt index. It can be assumed that these results refl ect, on the one hand, the ongoing privatization process that involves, fi rst of all, the disposal of assets prepared for sale (in the form of state-owned blocks of shares); on the other, they point to the redistribution of ownership rights between differenttiers of public authority (a process that has been underway for nearly 10 years).
