The Russian ruble saw a much slower depreciation in September-October, compared to August, due to some rallies in the oil market. For the first time in five years, banks and enterprises saw their net capital outflow in Q3 2015 as a result of a substantial decline in foreign assets which were used to repay their foreign loans, and also due to the fact that individuals sold foreign exchange in cash.
