Abstract: The RF Government’s and the Central Bank of Russia’s effective regulation of the credit and financial sector, as well as implementation of the policy on establishment of banking capital provisions have facilitated the banking sector’s sustainability in January-August 2023. Banks’ funding base has considerably increased owing both to growth in enterprises’ bank account balances as a result of budget expenditures funding and an inflow of funds to individuals’ deposits amid growth in households’ incomes in H1 2023.
