Natalia Kornienko took part in the discussion of the conclusions and prospects of the modern notarial system

On April 13, 2018 Natalia Kornienko, Head of Tax System Development Department of the Gaidar Institute, delivered a presentation on the Role of notarial system in the digital economy at the round-table meeting dedicated to the theme:
“ Modern notarial system: 25 years. Conclusions and Prоspects”, organized by the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly on State - Building and Legislation of the Russian Federation.

The agenda of the round-table meeting included discussion of the matters associated with the improvement of the legislation related to the stability of civil circulation provided by the notary, especially, in the course of establishment of the modern information society and onrush of the digital technologies, enhancement of the notaries’ association’s role focused on the protection of the civil rights and rights of the legal entities in the field of the turnover of the immovable property.

The meeting was attended by: Veniamin Iakovlev, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Denis Novak, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, Yuri Pilipenko, President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Korsik, President of the Federal Notarial Chamber of the Russian Federation, Maria Melnikova, Advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, representatives of other Federal Ministries and Agencies, State Duma Deputies and members of the Federation Council, notaries, academic lawyers. Current issues faced by the notarial community as well as certain directly relevant legislative proposals were discussed in the course of the meeting headed by Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly on State - Building and Legislation of the Russian Federation
