On industrial production in 2009

Herewith, during the year there was recorded a gradual weakening of the decline rate. According to the results of the IV-th quarter of 2009, a downgrading in industrial production amounted to 2.6% against the relevant period of the previous year, and in November and December, the dynamics of production has increased to positive values versus the corresponding months of 2008.

Structural specifics of industrial decline are based on reduction in IV quarter of 2009 of the growth of mineral resources production by 3.9%, as well as production and distribution of electricity, gas and water - by 0.4% as compared with the same period of the last year. With the sustained trend towards the narrowing domestic market, the decline of manufacturing production made 6.5% in the IV quarter of 2009 against the same period in 2008, in general 16.0% for the year.
