Seminars on Model Building were Held at the Gaidar Institute

Early in July 2017, the Gaidar Institute’s and the RANEPA’s International Budget Stability Research Laboratory led by Lawrence Kotlikoff, Professor of the Boston University held a regular series of scientific seminars on building of general equilibrium models.  

The seminars dealt with building of a multiregional model of general economic equilibrium of the global economy to analyze scenarios of global economic development. In addition, prospect research lines, including development of the general equilibrium model with overlapping generations and the informal sector for the Russian economy, as well as publications of the laboratory’s materials on the research outputs were discussed.

The seminars were attended by Andrei Polbin, Head of the Macroeconomic Modeling Department, Maria Kazakova, Deputy Head of the International Budget Stability Research Laboratory, as well as laboratory researchers Andrei Zubarev, Kristina Nesterova and Yevgeny Goryunov.
