The Gaidar Forum Is Recognized As the Best Business Event of the Year

 

The international research and practical conference on economic issues ‘The Gaidar Forum’ was announced to be winner ofThe Moscow Times Awards, the first independent award, in the nomination category Best Business Event of the Year


The members of the jury were Editor in Chief of The Moscow Times Andrew McСhesney; Chairmen of the Russo-British, Russo-French and Russo-German Chambers of Commerce Alan Thompson, Pavel Shinsky and Michael Harms; member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the American Chambers of Commerce in Russia Peter B. Necarsulmer, and others.

Among the other nominees for Best Business Event of the Year were the Open Innovations Forum, the Russia Forum 2013,
VTB Capital Investment Forum ‘RUSSIA CALLING!’, and the Moscow Urban Forum.

In 2014, the fifth (jubilee) annual Gaidar Forum will take place on January 15-18. The Forum will be dedicated to one of the most important modern challenges – sustainable development. The conference "Russia and the World: Sustainable Development" will focus on such top-priority issues as economic growth in the context of global transformations, its potential and effective management, risks associated with innovative entrepreneurship, new industrialization, contradictions of resource-based economies and controversial effects of modernization for the country’s socio-political and economic development. The Forum was established by the Ye.T. Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and the Yegor Gaidar Foundation.
