The Gaidar Institute Participates in the Second World Congress of Comparative Economics

On 15–17 June, Gaidar Institute experts took part in the Second World Congress of Comparative Economics 1917 –2017: Revolution and Evolution in Economic Development, held in St. Petersburg.

Leading Researcher Alexey Vedev moderated the first part of the discussion on the theme Growth and Adjustment: Comparison of Russia, China and India.

Senior Researcher Ivan Lyubimov organized and chaired the Section Human Capital D: Human Capital and Economic Development, and also presented his report titled Labor, Technology and Human Capital under Imperfect Institutions.

The report titled What Regional Factors are More Important for Entrepreneurship in Russia: Institutions or Geographical Position? was delivered by Head of the Innovation Economics Department Vera Barinova and Senior Researcher of the Department Stepan Zemtsov at the Section Regional issues D: Regional and Urban Development in Russia and other CIS countries: Comparative Studies I.
