Yegor Gaidar's press conference
October 16, 2008: RIA Novosti hosted Yegor Gaidar's press conference "The global financial crisis: effects for Russia".
Yegor Gaidar suggests that the peak of the financial crisis has not been passed as yet, but if the Russian authorities do not make grave mistakes, there will be no catastrophe and Russia will just face capital flight, "cooling off" of the economy and deceleration of abnormally high growth rate of real incomes.
