Economic Policy included in Scopus

The Economic Policy journal was included in Scopus, one of the largest international abstract databases.


Scopus comprises the most respected periodicals from around the world. As part of the selection process, Scopus expert council performs a rigorous analysis of journals checking for their compliance with international publishing standards, following which a final decision is made.

The Economic Policy journal was established in 2006 by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

Economic policy is a broad-range economic journal devoted primarily to the study of the economic policy of present-day Russia as well as global economic problems. The subject matters of articles include macroeconomic, fiscal, monetary, industrial, social, regulation and competition policy, and more. The journal also publishes papers in such theoretical areas as modern political economy, economic theory problems, institutional economics, etc.

The Editorial Board of the Economic Policy journal includes leading Russian and foreign experts representing different fields of expertise related to the study of economic policy and its implementation. The Editorial Council includes Russian and foreign experts renowned for their achievements in the sphere of economic policymaking and economic policy analysis. Editor-in-Chief of the journal is rector of RANEPA Vladimir Mau.

In 2016, the journal was included in the WOS Core Collection (ESCI) database. To date, the journal has also been included in such international abstract databases and repositories as East View, Ulrich’s Web, RePEC, RSCI and EconBiz.
