Gaidar Institute Has Improved Its Regional Rating in The Think Tank Index
Gaidar Institute has taken 29th place in the top 55 think tanks in Central and Eastern Europe according to Global Go to Think Tank Index 2014, thus has improved its rating by three points (32nd place in 2013).
Global rating of think tanks (The Think Tank Index) is compiled every year in the framework of The Think Tank and Civil Society Program implemented by the University of Pennsylvania by way of an open nominations process done by experts worldwide who assess the results of these organizations.
The Think Tank Index 2014 includes other Russian think tanks such as: Carnegie Moscow Center which takes the 1st place in the regional rating, IMEMO RAS – 4th place, Center for Economic and Financial Research – 6th place, MGIMO – 11th, Independent Institute for Social Policy – 19th, Institute for the U.S. and Canadian Studies RAS – 25th, Economic Expert Group – 31st, St. Petersburg Center for Humanities and Political Studies – 35th, Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation – 46th, Russian International Affairs Council – 55th.
