Gaidar Instituter experts attended the 35th International Symposium on Forecasting

On 21-24 Gaidar Institute experts, Sergey Drobyshevsky, Scientific Director, Marina Turuntseva, head of the Short-Term Forecast Department, Viktoria Petrenko, researcher of the Short-Term Forecast Department and Pavel Trunin, leading researcher of RANEPA, participated in the 35th International Symposium of Forecasting which was held in Riverside, California (USA)

Marina Turuntseva gave a presentation "Forecast Evaluation in the Panels of Forecasts: Empirical Evidence" (presentation), Viktoria Petrenko's presentation was "Getting a New Angle on Rationality of SPF Individual Forecasters" (presentation).

Symposium's agenda boasted of a large number of training workshops, open lectures and round table discussions. It was of the utmost interest for exchange of experience regarding

current forecasting methods and assessment of forecasts quality, potential and development of these methods.
