Irina Tolmacheva spoke at the 8th Forum “Endowments – 2024: the Price of Waiting”
On June 4, 2024, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department of the Gaidar Institute took part in the session: “Close cannot work: what do you need to know about the dissolution of endowment funds when they are created?” of the 8th Forum “Endowments - 2024: the Price of Waiting” sponsored by Vladimir Potanin’s Charitable Foundation.
Every year, the “Endowments” Forum brings together representatives of endowment funds and the non-profit sector and becomes a platform for discussing issues related to the development of this industry. This year, the program focused mainly on the joint search for answers to non-trivial questions regarding the management and transformation of endowment funds, their prospects and development strategies.
Within the framework of the session “Close cannot work: what do you need to know about the dissolution of endowment funds when they are created?”, forum participants were asked to find a way out of the crisis situation because of which the issue of advisability of the existence of the Endowment Fund arose. After hearing the participants’ proposed options, the experts shared their ideas based on many years of experience in overcoming various complex managerial, organizational and other crises.
