Lora Nakoryakova on strengthening the role of the social package in choosing a job

Nezavisimaya Gazeta published a commentary by Lora Nakoryakova, a partner at the Center for Evidence-Based Expertise of the Gaidar Institute, on the willingness of Russians to change job for the sake of an extended social package.

The survey of insurance companies demonstrated that more than half of the respondents are ready to change their place of work for the sake of attractive corporate privileges, even under the condition of some salary reduction. «The cost of services included in the social package (among the most demanded are medical care, food, sanatorium treatment, including children’s vouchers, sports and others) continues to grow, and their share in the structure of citizens' expenses is becoming more and more significant," said Lora Nakoryakova.

At the same time, the expert underlined that the level of wages remains an important factor, due to rising prices for medical services according to Rosstat and tourist services according to the CSR and the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
