“Online Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook” released, №8 (May 2015)

8th issue of the “Online Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook. Trends and challenges of socio-economic development” has come out. It is an analytical review which task is to monitor current trends and shifts in the Russian economy.

Main topics of the issue: Oil has strengthened the ruble; state support to three largest banks has provided sufficient capital to the banking sector; Regional budgets: provisional achievements in the wake of structural issues; Real sector has exhausted devaluation advantages; Growth but not production boom in agro sector and food industry; Industry has adapted to a weak demand and awaits its growth; Population feels the crisis  more and more but sees it less; Regions turn to quasi targeted social protection.

The monitoring is drafted by the experts of the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and the Russian Foreign Trade Academy under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
