Results of the Competition ‘Ideological and Theoretical Legacy of Ye. T. Gaidar in the Field of Economic and Social Sciences’
On 28 October 2011, the Organizing Committee of the Competition ‘Ideological and Theoretical Legacy of Ye. T. Gaidar in the Field of Economic and Social Sciences' held its session devoted to summing up the results of the Competition.
The Organizing Committee considered 79 applications conforming to the terms of the Competition.
On the basis of their consideration of those applications, the Organizing Committee determined that the following applicants should be selected as winners in the Competition:
• In the Monograph nomination category – Nikolai Konstantinovich Pechenin, senior lecturer at the Saratov Institute of Physics and Technology, a branch of National Nuclear Research University (MEPhI)
Research Theme: Investigation of the Activity of Social Institutions and Its Impact on Society’s Development and Human Activities;
• In the Research Article nomination category – Andrei Pavlovich Zaostrovtsev, research associate at the Center for Modernization Research of European University, St Petersburg
Research Theme: Ye. Gaidar’s Contribution to New Institutional Economics History;
– Kirill Vladimirovich Rodionov, junior research associate at the Center for Financial System Research of the Institute for Applied Economic Research of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation
Research Theme: ‘Democratic Transit in Post-Communist Russia: the Causes of Failure’;
• In the Journalistic Article nomination category – Sergei Ivanovich Kurda, a 2011 graduate of the Postgraduate Course of the Higher School of Economics National Research University
Research Theme: The Urgent Issues of Russia’s Current and Future Development.
