Stepan Zemtsov: building of a bridge to Sakhalin is inexpedient in economic terms and does not pay off

On October 16, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Researcher of the Gaidar Institute gave an interview to the Dozhd channel concerning the building of the bridge to Sakhalin.

Participation of Russia in the Liber–2017 book fair is a part of the Read Russia project aimed at promotion of the Russian literature and book publishing abroad. The project was initiated and sponsored by the Federal Agency for the Press and Mass Media. The official organizer of the Russian stand is the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center. The partner in Spain is the Alexander Pushkin Fund.

The Russian stand presented about 400 new Russian books on various subjects: modern and classical Russian literature; literature on history, philosophy and sociology, children literature; literature on culture, traditions and arts of peoples of Russia. Visitors of the Russian stand could get acquainted with books of more than thirty publishing houses, including among others the Eksmo Publishers, the Vremya Publishers, the Redaktsia Yeleny Shubinoi Publishers, the New Literary Review Publishers, the Rudomino Book Center, the Peshkom v Istoriyu Publishers, the Boslen Publishers, the Paulsen Publishers, ROSSPEN, BSG-Press, the OGI Publishers, the Sadra Publishers, the Azbuka Atikus Publishers, the Alpina-Non-Fiction Publishers, the International Relations Publishing House, the Delo Publishers and the publishing houses of the Higher School of Economics, the Gaidar Institute and the Nizhny Novgorod-based Rodnoye Pepelische Fund, the Novye Vitrazhi literary community and other. When the fair was over, the books were donated to libraries of Spanish non-profit organizations specializing on learning and promotion of the Russian literature and language in Spain.
