Twelfth issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy has come out
Researchers of the Gaidar Institute's International Best Practice Analysis Department prepared the twelfth issue of the Monitoring of Legal Regulation of the Digital Economy.
In the December issue, authors highlighted three main trends in the development of the digital economy.
Principal topics:
- Strengthening regulation of AI;
- Anti-competitive practices online;
- Consumer protection online.
In addition, the experts discussed the amendments adopted in late 2024 in the field of digital economy regulation: the law “On Advertising”, tougher sanctions for personal data leakage, as well as a draft law submitted to the State Duma prohibiting the imposition of goods or services on consumers.
