Conferences, seminars, round tables

On 12 - 16 January 2015, the International Fiscal Sustainability Department of the Gaidar Institute and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) (headed by Professor of Economics at Boston University Laurence J. Kotlikoff) held a series of scientific seminars at the Gaidar Institute, dedicated to the issues associated with the creation of general equilibrium models.

On 19 December, the Discussion Club Academia held its first meeting, where the challenges faced by Russia's national economy in 2015 were discussed.

On December 18-19, 2014, the Final Gaidar Readings-2014 dedicated to the treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union which becomes effective from January1, 2015 were held.

On December 12-13, 2014, the 2nd International Conference on Political Demography and Macrosocial Dynamics "Global Aging of the Population and the Future of Russia was held. The sponsors of the Conference were the Gaidar Institute and the RANEPA.

On November 11, the Round Table – The Strategic Guidelines for the State Policy in the North Caucasus – was held at the Gaidar Institute within the frameworks of cooperation between the Gaidar Institute and the Committee of Civil Initiatives.

On October 2, 2014,  Gaidar Readings – Development of Regulatory Impact Assessment on the Regional and Municipal Levels – was held in the city of Ulyanovsk.

On June 6, the scientific seminar – Funding Liquidity CAPM: International Evidence – was held at the Gaidar Institute. The above seminar was addressed by Andrea Vedolin, Professor of the London School of Economics.

On June 5, the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Gaidar Institute was held.

From May 19-24, the International Department of Budget Stability Research -- headed by L. Kotlikoff, Professor of the Boston University – of the Gaidar Institute and the RANEPA carried out a series of scientific seminars on building of general equilibrium models.

Om May 19, 2014, the Gaidar readings – the Prospects of Development, Potential and Limitations of Support by Banks of the Southern Federal District of Economic Growth – were held in Rostov-on-Don.

On April 29, 2014, a round table on the development of the Kaliningrad Region was held at Gaidar Institute.

Gaidar Readings on Challenges Faced by the Regional Innovation Policy were held in the city of Penza on April 11, 2014.

On March 23–30 researches of Gaidar Institute's Joint International Center for Budget Studies and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) held in Boston University a scientific workshop on the construction of general equilibrium models.

On February 25, 2014, the scientific seminar – The Legal Regulation of Free Movement of the Capital in Member-States of the Customs Union – with participation of representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission was held at the Gaidar Institute.

On February 14,  Gaidar Readings: The Integration Processes and Prospects of Economic Development of States in Terms of the Eurasian Economic Union was held in Astana, Kazakhstan.

13 December was the first day of the International Conference on Political Demography and Social Macro-Dynamics, held at the Gaidar Instutute in the framework of the Gaidar Readings.
