In 2020, the Gaidar institute marks its 30th anniversary.

On November 6, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Researcher, Innovation Economics Department at the Gaidar Institute, and Pavel Koval, Researcher, Macroeconomic Modeling Department at the Gaidar Institute, took part in the St. Petersburg International Conference on Inequality and Diversity (IDC 2020).

For the first time, the Accounts Chamber submitted its own forecast for the development of Russian economy, due to be updated 1-2 times a year. On October 20, 2020, Alexandra Bozhechkova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Head of Monetary Policy Department of the Gaidar Institute, made a presentation “Factors of the ruble exchange rate” at the summit ACI Russia eFX within the panel “Economic and econometric assessment models of a “fair” exchange rate.”

On-line meeting of the Gaidar Institute Scientific Council took place on October 9, 2020. Natalia Shagaida, Head of Agrarian Department of the Gaidar Institute, delivered a keynote presentation "Food security in a pandemic".

On October 1, Natalya Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Development Department, the Gaidar Institute, took part in online conference on the topic: "Combating counterfeit as a point of growth of the national economy", organized by the RBC TV channel.

October 5 to 23, 2020, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Lead Researcher, International Research Department of Health, Gaidar Institute, Maria Kaneva will make an academic visit to Oxford University to work with Professor Christopher Gerry in the framework of the RFBR research topic No. 20-010-00205 "The role of health capital in the socio-economic development of Russian regions."

On July 22, 2020, Irina Tolmacheva, Head of the Legal Department of the Gaidar Institute, Member of the Board of the National Association of Endowments, took part in an online meeting of the NAE Endowment Endowment Club dedicated to changes in Russian legislation on endowments.

Experts of the Gaidar Institute have examined the economic impacts of the introduction of a mandatory drivers’ employment in the taxi industry either as full-time employees of a carrier, or taxi aggregator.

The ordinary meeting of the “Endowments” Club dedicated to “Amendments in Russian legislation on endowments” will take place on September 24, 2020 at 11.00 am.
