From April 6 to 9, there is an annual book fair non/fictioN spring at the Gostiny Dvor in Moscow.

On March 30, Alexey Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department at  Gaidar Institute”, Head of the Innovation Project Management Department at GSCM RANEPA, spoke on “Medium-term forecast of the development of Russian economy” at the academic seminar of the RAS Academician, Professor Abel G.Agangebyan, Doctor of economic sciences, dedicated to current issues of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation.

On January 19,  Alexei Vedev, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Financial Studies Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the “Economic Policy Components” Debate Club’s meeting sponsored by the Association of Independent Economic Analysis Centers (AIEAC). The meeting focused on the discussion of economic outlooks and expectations in 2023.

“Yegor Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy” Fund summed up the results of the Competition for the Best Final Qualifying Work in Economics  in 2022 among graduates of Russian economic universities and departments of economics of higher education establishments. Around 200 graduates, economists who defended their diploma thesis in economics in 2022, took part in the competition.

On December 20, Alexei Vedev, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Financial Studies Department of  Gaidar Institute participated in the online “Russian Economy and Finances: Results of the Challenging Year” video marathon sponsored jointly by the Naidi Mamonta channel and the Finversia channel.

On December 20, Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, Rector of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Academic Director of  Gaidar Institute took part in the press conference: “Russia’s Economic Cooperation with the EAEU: A New Focus of Attention” held at the press-center of the “Izvestia” Multimedia Information Center.

Today we remember Yegor Timurovich Gaidar not only as an outstanding economist and researcher, but also as a personality whose achievements and works have left an indelible mark on Russian history thanks to his intellect, hard work and talent. Courageous and brave, he was not afraid to take the path of reforms and take responsibility for their implementation, he believed in a free Russia until his last day.

On November 24, Alexei Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the Economic Management Section meeting on the topic: “The Requirements to Macroeconomic Forecasts in Substantiating an Economic Policy”.

On December 9,  Alexei Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the New Economy of Siberia” Forum held at the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEM).

Feline Philosophy by John Gray  published by  Gaidar Institute Publishers has entered the top-15 books recommended for purchase at the international Non/fiction book fair. The book rating was released by the Kommersant daily.

On November 30, Alexei Vedev, Head of the Financial Studies Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the “Clever Fellows” program on the Govorit Moskva Radio Station. 

The presentation of the book – “Nikolai Baibakov. Stalin’s Last People’s Commissar” – by Valery Vyzhutovich, a renowned journalist will be held at the Conference Hall of  Gaidar Institute at 18:00 on November 28, 2022.

RBC published an opinion on the draft budget fr om experts from  Gaidar Institute and RANEPA, wh ere they proposed to create a Pension system Reserve Fund. According to experts, it should be earmarked and spent on force majeure pensions.
