Results of the competition for the best graduation qualification work have been announced

On December 15 Alexei Vedev, Leading Researcher of the Financial Studies Lab,  Gaidar Institute and former Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, took part in a meeting of the FBK Economic Club.

4 December Alexander Knobel, Head of the Foreign Trade Department of  Gaidar Institute took part in the discussion "EEU: What's Next?" via videoconference. It was dedicated to the results of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council "Integration on a pause?" The event was organized by the Valdai International Discussion Club.

An online event dedicated to the presentation of the double issue of the “Vestnik Evropy” magazine founded by  Gaidar Institute will be held at 19:00 on December 3, 2020.

On November 21, 2020, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Research Associate, Gaidar Institute delivered the report “COVID-19, Small Business and State Support in Russia” within the framework of the international scientific conference “The World Amid COVID-19: The Impact of the Pandemic on the Development of Countries and Regions” sponsored by the Russian Section of the European Regional Science Association and the Department of Socioeconomic Geography of Foreign Countries, Faculty of Geography, Moscow State University.

On November 18, 2020, experts of  Gaidar Institute presented their research findings and socio-economic forecasts for the near future at the International Conference on Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting sponsored by the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IEF RAS).

In 2020,  Gaidar institute marks its 30th anniversary.

On November 6, Stepan Zemtsov, Senior Researcher, Innovation Economics Department at  Gaidar Institute, and Pavel Koval, Researcher, Macroeconomic Modeling Department at the Gaidar Institute, took part in the St. Petersburg International Conference on Inequality and Diversity (IDC 2020).

For the first time, the Accounts Chamber submitted its own forecast for the development of Russian economy, due to be updated 1-2 times a year. This document was elaborated under the Development Strategy of the Accounts Chamber for 2018–2024, with one of the priority areas being the creation of own analytical products based on modern approaches to modeling social and economic development. The Institute for Economic Policy named after Egor T. Gaidar entered into partnership.

Vladimir Mau, the Rector of RANEPA, is the editor-in-chief of this publication. The editorial board included Georgy Idrisov, Assistant to the Prime -Minister of the Russian Federation, Yaroslav Kuzminov, Rector of HSE, Viktor Sadovnichy, Rector of the Lomonosov MSU, Sergey Sinelnikov-Murylev, Rector of Foreign Trade Academy.

On October 20, 2020, Alexandra Bozhechkova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Head of Monetary Policy Department of Gaidar Institute, made a presentation “Factors of the ruble exchange rate” at the summit ACI Russia eFX within the panel “Economic and econometric assessment models of a “fair” exchange rate.”

On-line meeting of  Gaidar Institute Scientific Council took place on October 9, 2020. Natalia Shagaida, Head of Agrarian Department of the Gaidar Institute, delivered a keynote presentation "Food security in a pandemic".
