On 2 December, representatives of  Gaidar Institute – Senior Researcher Natalia Kornienko, Senior Researcher Svetlana Guliaeva and Junior Researcher Yelisey Leonov took part in a session of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, held to discuss the results of its public expert examination of draft Federal Law No 606211-6 'On the Introduction of Alterations to Some Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation in the Part of State Price Regulation for Tobacco Products'.

On 2 December, Forbes.ru published an article on the issues of transit of EU commodities through Russia's territory, written by the Gaidar Institute's Head of International Trade Department Alexander Knobel.

On 16 November, Senior Researcher Sergey Zhavoronkov took part in the Public Television of Russia's (OTV Russia's) talk show Prav?da! [Right? Yes!]. The show addressed the issue of balancing the RF budget in a situation of plummeting oil prices.

The presentation of the book Letters : 1925-1975. Gaidar Institute's senior researcher Yekaterina Pospelova's article was published on November 24 on Forbes.ru, in which the author presents analysis of the fiscal burden on entrepreneurs from a new sales tax to take effect in July 2015 in the cities of federal importance in Russia.

On November 17, Director of Gaidar Institute's Center for Structural Research Mikhail Khromov gave interview to the RBK-TV on the subject of import substitution.

Gaidar Institute's reasearcher Anna Kiyutsevskaya's article was published on November 18 on the Banki.ru portal, in which the author presents analysis of a new version of "The Guidelines for the Single Monetary Policy in 2015 and for 2016 and 2017" developed by the Central Bank of Russia.

Gaidar Institute's senior researcher Ivan Lyubimov's article was published by Forbes on November 17, in which the author presents a comparative analysis of the history of devaluation of the national currency in Russia, Mexico and Argentina.

On November 13, Arseniy Mamedov, Head of Budget Policy Department at Gaidar Institute, attended a regular meeting of the FBK Economic Club, discussing the draft budget of the Russian Federation for 2015-2017 that was submitted to the State Duma and adopted in the first reading.

On November 11, Ph.D. in Economics, Director of Center for Macroeconomics and Finance of Gaidar Institute Pavel Trunin made a report on the effects of western sanctions on the Russian economy at a seminar on "The Business in the changing political situation: sanctions, countersanctions and their effects" organized by the International Center for Advanced and Comparative EU-Russia/CIS Research (ICEUR) in Vienna.

On November 12, Forbes published an article on "Regional Budgets-2015: three ways to address the issue of deficit" written by Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev, Scientific Supervisor of the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, and Arseniy Mamedov, Head of the Budget Policy Department, Gaidar Institute. In the article the authors present analysis of the issue of regional budgets' balance.

On November 11, Gaidar Institute hosted a round table on the Strategic Guidelines of the State Policy in the North Caucasus. The round table was organized as part of cooperation between Gaidar Institute and the Civic Initiatives Committee.

The RePEc has upgraded Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy to 29th in the ranking of the top global think tanks in the field of economic policy, and retained its status of the best think tank in Russia.

On November 6, senior researchers of Gaidar Institute's Center for Macroeconomics and Finance Natalya Korniyenko and Svetlana Guliayeva attended a meeting at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, including zero public hearings covering the draft federal law No. 634370-6 On Amendments to Article 34620 and Chapter 265 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation (concerning "tax holidays" for small-sized businesses).

On October 29, in an interview to the RBK-TV Mikhail Khromov, Director of the Structural Research Center spoke about the consequences of a possible switchover to the floating exchange rate of ruble from November 2014.
