On 12–13 April, the Gaidar Institute's Innovation Economics Department took part in the XVIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development, held by the NRU HSE in Moscow.

31 On March 31. 2017. Natalia Kornienko, Head of the Tax System Development Department took part in the program “Khrupova. Market Leaders” on RBK-TV, where the issue of compensation of VAT on goods bought by foreign nationals in Russia was discussed.

On April 3, a press-conference was held at the Rossia Segodnya International Information Agency, where a new issue of the Online monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook prepared by experts of the Gaidar Institute, the RANEPA and the Russian Foreign Trade Academy was presented.

Issue No.6(44), 2017 of The Online Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook . Trends and Challenges of Socioeconomic Development” which monitors current changes in the Russian economy was published.

On 31 March, the head of  Gaidar Institute legal department Irina Tolmacheva took part in the discussion “Income distribution and impact assessment” at the Endowments-2017 forum.

On 15–16 March, senior researcher at the Center for Political Economy and Regional Development Konstantin Kazenin took part in the VII Sociology Grushin Conference. The conference main theme was: “Towards the Future. Forecasting in Social Studies”.
Konstantin Kazenin made two reports on the problems of the North Caucasus.

No. 5(43), 2017 of the analytical review Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook. The Trends and Challenges of Social and Economic Development which follows the current trends and recent developments in the Russian economy is now published online.

On 14–16 March, the head of  Gaidar Institute legal department Irina Tolmacheva took part in the subregional workshop “Regulations on Intellectual Property in Universities and Research Institutes” held in St. Petersburg.

On 13 March, the Scientific Director of the Gaidar Institute, Sergey Drobyshevsky, spoke at the Russian Business Week organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. His talk was titled “New Challenges for the Tax System in Mid-Term Perspective”.

On 7 March, Russian News Agency TASS hosted a press conference presenting the latest issue of the Online Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook prepared by experts from the Gaidar Institute, the RANEPA, and the RFTA.
