On 31 May, the Central Bank of Russia published the bulletin: “What Trends Speak About” in which the results of a survey of enterprises were presented. The survey was carried out jointly with  Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy.

On 25 May, Forbes.ru published  Gaidar Institute's senior researcher Ivan Lyubimov's article, “GDP per person: What do economic indicators attest to?", in which he explains why it is incorrect to assess volatile economies using GDP per capita indicator.

Issue No.8(26), 2016 of the analytical review – The Online Monitoring of Russia’s Economic Outlook. Trends and Challenges of the Social and Economic Development – was published. The goal of the above review is to follow current trends and changes in the Russian economy.

On 20 May, the newspaper Vedomosti published  Gaidar Institute’s senior researcher Ivan Lyubimov’s article, “Advantages of horizontal power”, in which he describes the tendency to corruption and reforms in authoritarian and democratic regimes.

On 17 May, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree “On the approval of the Regulation on the Presidential Economic Council working group focusing on “Priorities of structural reforms and sustainable economic growth” and its composition”. The working group includes Gaidar Institute's Principal Researcher at the Center for Macroeconomics and Finance Alexey Kudrin, Scientific Director Sergey Drobyshevsky, Director of the Center for Real Sector Georgy Idrisov.

On 17 May, the Gaidar Institute’s Publishing House and the NRU HSE School of Philology presented the Russian translation of Franco Moretti’s book Distant Reading.

On April 27, the Gaidar Institute hosted a discussion of the project on creating the Federal Resource Center and a network of regional partners oriented at improving the financial literacy of students, shoolchildren, and the public.

On 19 April, Head of the Innovation Economy Department Vera Barinova and senior researcher of the department Stepan Zemtsov presented a paper "Revealing Clusters of High-Tech Small and Medium Companies in Russia" at the 17^th April Conference on issues of economic and social development hosted by the NRU HSE.

On April 19, Head of International Trade Studies Department Alexander Knobel made a presentation at HSE XVII April Conference within the session “Prospects for Eurasian economic integration”. The topic of the presentation was the impact of a possible reduction of non-tariff barriers on the trade between EAEU countries.

On April 19, Gaidar Institute Scientific Director Sergey Drobyshevsky spoke at HSE XVII April Conference within the plenary session “Efficiency reserves of budgetary expenditures”.

On April 15–16, Head of the Tax System Development Department Natalya Kornienko took part in the XIII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Tax law in the decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation” which was held in Moscow at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

On April 12, Head of the Tax System Development Department Natalya Kornienko took part in the conference "Customs and Foreign Trade 2016: Dialogue Between Business and Government" which was held at the The Moscow Times location.

On April 6, Director of the Center for Structural Studies Mikhail Khromov gave an interview to the program "Bogdanov informed" on RBC-TV, in which the problem of inflation in Russia and the nature of the monetary policy of the Central Bank were discussed.

On April 5–6, the presentation of Yegor Gaidar's book "Collapse of an Empire: Lessons for Modern Russia" took place in Warsaw, attended by the Gaidar Institute's Executive Director Sergey Prikhodko.
